Preparation for Telemarketing

In order to embark on the process of updating and building your data, there needs to be one finite set of information to work from. An early challenge in any clean-up project is to consolidate the various sources of information from the firm into one place so it can be worked on efficiently without constantly coming across duplicate information to research by telephone.

Shamrock have developed a unique deduplication tool that presents our researchers with groups of records which have been identified as a match. We then decide, using further research where appropriate, which records should be merged.

Once the data is deduplicated, the single data set is then scanned against the Shamrock Knowledge Base. This is a database that we proactively maintain and is used as a primary enhancement tool to make the telemarketing phase much more effective. It contains publicly available information on thousands of organisations including main segmentation criteria (industry sector, turnover, number of employees), organisation name changes and information on the main board directors.
